This past Saturday I completed my first short triathlon ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿƒ.

It reminded me of what I call the growth paradox:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Progress is often slower than we expect.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Yet when it finally clicks, it accelerates faster than we can imagine.

Two years ago, I couldnโ€™t even picture myself participating in a triathlon. Today, Iโ€™m a finisher of not one, but two.

This yearโ€™s race was twice the distance of my first one, under rougher weather conditions.

On paper, looking at the raw numbers, you might think my performance was worse. But the reality is the opposite: the achievement was far greater, because the context completely changed.

That made me reflect on business performance. Numbers alone can mislead. KPIs matter, but only if they are framed in the right context, taking into account conditions, objectives, and the journey.

Just like in sports, success in business isnโ€™t only about speed or distance, but about the story behind the results.
